Older People's Day-1st Oct

Older People's Day-1st Oct
With people living and working longer, it’s increasingly important that we recognize the importance of supporting senior citizens and OAPs within our society. Older People's Day is an opportunity to acknowledge the long-term contribution and dedication of older people, and to ensure that we’re doing our best to give something back to older people.
In today's busy life when everyone is in a rush for his own bread, no one pays attention to the older one in the family. many older parents are guests with their sons turn by turn.many have left them to the mercy of relatives while many just don't care.
As Hazrat Muhammad(PBUH) said that "It is a pity that some people may not attain Paradise, on account of not serving their old parents." it becomes our key responsibility to serve our parents with full efforts.
They are those who sacrificed their' wishes for our' needs.
They are those who wore silky clothes but provides us with the best.
It was a great step by UNITED NATIONS when they decided to celebrate the 1st October as Older People's Day. celebrating this day will remind us about the needs of elders and the happiness of togetherness.
The day is a special one for older people and senior citizens around the world. You may find officials and politicians making speeches that focus on this growing section of the population, at this time of the year. The media will also take this as an opportunity to publish interviews. Many of which will be with older persons who have had an impact on society. Schools, public institutions and office buildings will also use the day for announcing activities that promote older persons.
