University Of Peshawar's Conflicts:
While the actual action taken by the University of Peshawar is lightning up in eyes of everyone through social media, many are in confusion whether the authority had made the right decision and is There any hidden element to this story, which is in contrast with what appears on the surface?.

The desolate incident happened recently in University of Peshawar(UOP), Pakistan where students were charged by police hardly who was then taken to hospital in serious conditions.

We were on peaceful strike against the decisions taken in regards to our fee-raising when they decided to press us through force--A student says.

On the other hand, media had also reported miserable conditions of Police soldiers beaten and stone heated by students.

On clarification, the authority stated that the matter isn't about fees and that they believed the protests were also a reaction to an operation conducted by the university administration in July during which they had vacated around 300 hostel rooms occupied by students belonging to various political organizations and movements.now that they can't ask for it directly they are using the alternative route.

The UOP's authority stated, there isn't any change in fee structure.

The query of a student left many questions on the face of authority as he stated:

"Why UOP charge more than the double hostel and other charges as compare to KMC, UET, Agriculture University, and other institutions within the same campus. Secondly, you have 5 or more kinds of hostel charges including rent charges, electricity charges, security charges (Not Refundable fully), gas charges, contingency charges, generator charges etc and UOP provide 0 facilities to students as compared to other institutions within the same campus why? 

Why UOP is failed to provide poor students HEC need-based scholarship from the last 4 years. HEC Head Office Islamabad continuously informing and reminding UOP to facilitate poor students through the said scholarship but UOP is not interested due to their internal dirty politics and individual stakes. The same scholarship is provided in all public sector universities in Pakistan except UOP due to their corrupt and incompetent administration. Why? I have the record of all the follow-ups of the last three years provided by a university student. University administration makes lame excuses and false promises regarding this scholarship. Khushali Bank scholarship was for the same purpose to facilitate the poor students but UOP administration was continuously reluctant to report the progress and thus they withdraw the opportunity due to the negative response. 

There is no hiring and recruitment policy for attracting and hiring talent. All their advertisements are designed in such a way to adjust their own people from the groups within the campus based on likes, dislikes, favoritism, and nepotism. There are many examples where husbands have hired their wives and wives have hired their husbands. 

Most of the officials of the university are members of many committees and have to perform multiple tasks only in the documents and they are getting paid for all these roles while practically they even do not attend these meetings and events. 

If we analyze the tender process for canteens, stores etc so it's like black holes. They provide all the information to certain people and those certain people are in touch with other certain people and the other certain people are then in touch with the real ones who actually run those canteens and shops etc. So there are 3 to 4 documents signed by 3 to 4 different parties and if the actual bid price is 10 thousand so at the end it reaches to 40 thousand. UOP only get the 10 and the rest of the 30 goes to the pockets of the certain people. If Govt or NAB will arrest these people who run the stores etc so everything Can get reveal. 

There are so many other stories but don't have time to write it down. 

Third party audit is necessary regarding all the issues discussed above".

The case will be cleared once the inquiry committee submits its results.
